This section combines settings and features related to data storage in the app.

What's unique about this section is that it already includes basic instructions for using most of the features. You can read these instructions within the app, so there's no need to duplicate them here.

This section consists of four subsections and looks like this:

Syncing data with Google Drive

This is the best way to save your notes in case your phone breaks or gets lost. Once you enable this feature, all changes to your notes will be synced with your personal cloud storage on Google Drive. Moreover, this will happen automatically in the background. You won't need to worry about keeping your saved data up to date.

For more information on using this feature, please read the instructions, which can be found in this section.

Data Backup

Another way to save data is to save it in a backup archive. In this case, you save your data in an archive file yourself and store it. Unlike syncing with Google Drive, the data in the archive will only be current at the time it's saved and won't update automatically. You will need to save a new archive from time to time. Furthermore, if you store backups on your phone, if your phone is lost or damaged, you risk losing not only the data in the app but also the backup archive. To prevent this, we recommend copying your backup archives to another device, such as a computer or cloud storage service.

For more information on using this feature, please read the instructions, which can be opened in this section.

Deleting Notes to the «Trash»

When you delete a note, it's generally not deleted first, but rather moved to the «Trash». The «Trash» is a special separate board where deleted notes are temporarily stored. If necessary, you can restore deleted notes from the «Trash».

In this subsection, you can configure the period during which deleted notes will remain in the «Trash».

👉 You can set the storage period for deleted notes to 1, 3, 5, 10, or 30 days. After this period, the notes are deleted from the «Trash» and cannot be recovered.

👉 If you set the storage time to "0," the notes will be deleted immediately, and you won't have a «Trash» board.

👉 If you set the storage period to ∞ (infinity), the notes will not be deleted from the «Trash» at all until you manually delete them or empty the «Trash».

Attachment Storage

This subsection contains only one option: specifying the storage location for note attachments. You can configure attachments to be saved either to the phone's main memory or to an external SD card.

For more information on using this feature, please read the instructions, which can be opened in this section.

Note:

Starting with Android 11, Google has limited the ability of apps to work with memory cards "for security reasons." Therefore, saving attachments to the SD card is not recommended on phones with Android 11 and higher. On some phone models, this may be technically impossible, so this option will be disabled.
