About the Project

The MultiNotes app was created in 2019 by independent developer Mikhail Kadykov as a private commercial project. The idea was to create a simple and visually convenient tool for maintaining personal information. What sets MultiNotes apart from many similar products is its so-called "realistic" interface, all elements of which are stylized to resemble real-life objects. The user sees not the usual computer "windows," but actual paper notes pinned to a corkboard with real pins. All technical settings are stylized to resemble the control panels of household appliances from the 1980s and 1990s. This interface is especially convenient for people with a so-called "visual" perception of the world.

Furthermore, through interactions with numerous users, we discovered that these "colored notes pinned to a board" have a therapeutic effect for people with ADHD and dementia. We receive many letters of gratitude from people with these disabilities who find that MultiNotes helps them maintain normal lives.

Since its inception in November 2019, the app has been continually improved, acquiring new features and capabilities.

One of the first additional features was “reminders”. Now it was possible not only to record information, but also to set an “alarm” that would remind you of this information at the right time.

One of the main advantages of MultiNotes over similar applications is the ability to attach various attachments to any note. Moreover, the list of attachment types is wider than that of any other note-taking application.

Furthermore, new features were added regularly (excluding interface changes and minor improvements):

April 2020

To save data, Google Drive syncing features were added to the app.

August 2020

Notes can be pinned to the desktop as widgets, as well as additional icons for quickly creating notes without opening the app.

September 2020

The ability to create recurring reminders, such as "every hour/day/year, etc."

January 2021

The ability to use different fonts (bold/italic/underline) in notes, as well as change the font color and background, was added. These opportunities will continue to expand.

July 2021

Added the ability to save data to a backup archive as an alternative to syncing with Google Drive.

September 2021

You can link a contact card from your phone's contact list to a note.

November 2021

A menu for processing a batch of selected notes has appeared.

July 2022

Notes can now be printed and exported to PDF. Biometrics are now integrated into note security.

October 2022

The app's internal architecture was redesigned. Now, the app can handle large numbers of notes and boards without slowing down. The number of notes and boards is now practically limited only by the phone's memory.

April 2023

MultiNotes now features a built-in Calendar, making it possible to use the app for planning.

2023-2024

Numerous small service features were developed, and existing functionality was improved.

April 2025

The app uses Google services such as Google Maps, Google Drive, and others. Since these services are not available on new Huawei phones, a separate version of the app was released in which all Google services are replaced with similar Huawei services. This version of the app is now available on the AppGallery.

November 2025

Users now have the ability to independently select the app interface language. Previously, the interface language was determined only by the phone settings.

March 2026

This Technical Support website was launched, publishing the User Guide—a complete reference for all MultiNotes features. The author of the User Guide and most of the site's content is the app developer himself. Therefore, you can be confident in the quality and practical reliability of these materials.

April 2026

A built-in calculator has been added to the note. Now you can not only add amounts to a note, but also conveniently calculate everything without using other applications.

The application interface is available in 12 languages, and the list of languages is regularly updated. The application is used by more than a million users in 170 countries.

Currently, the project continues to develop.
