CX MultiNotes Viewer is a simple, browser‑based tool that lets you open your Multinotes Android notes on any device — your computer, tablet, iPhone, or anything else you use, no matter if you’re on Windows, Android, macOS, iOS, or Linux.
This feature is currently available exclusively to users of the MultiNotes Android version downloaded from Google Play, with Google Drive sync enabled. Support for the Huawei version is coming soon, so stay tuned for updates.
With CX MultiNotes Viewer, you can get to your notes quickly, without installing anything — and it even works offline when you need it. Your browser keeps a local copy of your notes and updates it automatically whenever something new is added or changed, so everything stays fast and smooth.
Here is how it works:
On the first launch, the viewer downloads all your notes from Google Drive and stores them in a local database (cache) inside your browser.
After that, everything loads directly from this local copy. The app only checks for new or updated notes since your last visit, which makes things much faster.
If you turn off Google Drive in Settings after the initial load, the viewer will use only the local database. This speeds things up even more and even lets you work offline. Just keep in mind that no updates will be checked in this mode, so it’s a good idea to click the Mode button from time to time to refresh your notes.
Mode without Database
If you turn off the Database option in Settings after the initial load, the viewer will pull your notes directly from Google Drive every time you open it.
This way, you’ll always see the most up‑to‑date version of your data.
Just keep in mind that loading will be slower and you’ll need an internet connection for it to work.
Additional Modes (Advanced Settings)
Through the Advanced Settings menu, you can activate alternative modes of operation suitable for specific cases. These modes can work with or without using a local database, depending on your preferences.
Mode: Local Folder
A mode suitable for users who prefer to have a local copy of their notes and want faster access to them.
Data is read from a folder on your computer. You need to set up the Google Drive for Desktop application to synchronize multinotes_data from Google Drive to your computer (you can also make the data available offline) and specify the synchronized folder in Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Local Folder.
If you select this mode and check Database, all notes will be saved to a local database on the first launch.
When this mode is used with Database, a check will be performed on each launch, and new and edited notes will be added to the database.
If, after the initial load, you uncheck Local Folder in Settings -> Advanced Settings, you will be able to load your notes without delay, but no check for new and changed notes will be performed. In this case, it is useful to periodically re-check the box to update your data.
Mode: Archive
Suitable for offline access to old versions of notes; only notes from the archive are displayed.
This mode is used when you transfer a zip archive of notes created by the Multinotes application with the Data Storage -> Backup Data option. Unzip it into a folder on your computer and specify it in Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Archive.
If you select this mode and check Database, all notes will be saved to a local database on the first launch.
If, after the initial load, you uncheck Archive in Settings -> Advanced Settings, you will be able to load your notes without delay.
